Round 4 of the English Premier League in 2021-22: An thrilling title race

Round 4 of the Premier League featured some exciting matches; let's take a look back at the highlights now that the round is over.

The championship race is captivating.

In round 4, all of the top contenders for the Premier League title won. Man City had a difficult match against Leicester, but they came out on top with a 1-0 victory. The Etihad Stadium team's only goal was scored by Bernardo Silva, making it the Blue Man's third consecutive Premier League victory this season, with 11 goals scored and no goals conceded.

At the same time, Manchester United won a resounding 4-1 victory over Newcastle at Old Trafford. Ronaldo shone in his second MU appearance, scoring twice. CR7 was still in good shape at 36 years old, and he played the entire 90 minutes. Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard scored the remaining two goals for MU.

Chelsea faced Aston Villa at home in the next match, which took place about 2 hours later. The Blues were able to keep the opponent from scoring thanks to the outstanding play of goalkeeper Mendy. Stamford Bridge won 3-0 thanks to Romelu Lukaku's excellent attack. Mateo Kovacic scored the other goal for the home team, while the Belgian striker starred with a brace.

In the fourth round of the Premier League in 2021/22, Liverpool also triumphed. The port city team won 3-0 against Leeds United right away. The scorers are Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, and Fabinho.

As a result, MU, Liverpool, and Chelsea all have 10 points after the first four rounds. Due to his lower status, Red Man takes the lead for the time being. Chelsea and Liverpool are in second and third place, respectively. Man City is in fourth place with 9 points. Although the season has only gone four rounds, it is clear that the four clubs mentioned above are the leading contenders for the championship.

Tottenham is back to harsh reality

Tottenham was the only team to win every game in the first three rounds. Spurs won 1-0 against Man City, Wolves, and Watford. Nuno Santo-Tottenham's coach was considered the best coach in the English Premier League for August after a string of impressive accomplishments. Tottenham will play against Crystal Palace in the first match of the season in September. The away team is still highly regarded despite the absence of a few key players, most notably Son Heung-min.

Tottenham, on the other hand, had a poor performance. They did not create a clear chance during the 90 minutes. Spurs lost 0-3, with the offense underwhelming and the defense making far too many errors. One of the reasons for the away team's disappointing defeat was Japhet Tanganga's red card in the second half.

Tottenham dropped from first to sixth place in the table after the Crystal Palace field went home with nothing. They are behind even Brighton, who surprised everyone when they won 9 points after the first four rounds.

Arsenal won for the first time

Arsenal had a disheartening loss in the first three rounds to Brentford, Chelsea, and Man City. They played at the home of rookie Norwich in the fourth round. The Emirates team has a better chance of winning the first three points in the Premier League this season. Right after the opening whistle, Mikel Arteta's students went on the attack.

Arsenal won 1-0 thanks to Aubameyang's only goal in the second half. Despite winning three points, the Gunners had some issues, particularly in terms of their ability to capitalize on opportunities. The home team had 30 shots, 6 of which were on target, but only managed to score one goal. They had far too many delicious opportunities but failed to take advantage of them all.

Arsenal had the first three points in the Premier League this season as well. For the London team, a win over Norwich is critical.

This victory helps their stars gain confidence and relieves the pressure on Mikel Arteta's shoulders. Arsenal only has to face Burnley in round 5, and this will be their chance to win again.
