Let's learn about elite European teams that, throughout their histories, were unable to compete in a Champions League final.
Anderlecht
The Belgian club has enjoyed numerous successes on the continental level during its more than 100-year history by winning two Cup Winners' Cups, as many European Super Cups, and a UEFA Cup. The counter, though, is still at zero for the Champions League.
Paris Saint Germain
The relationship between Paris Saint-Germain and the Champions League is still rather complicated, despite the numerous investments made in the market. The Parisians were eliminated in the Round of 16 for the third straight season, delaying their victory over the trophy with big ears for another year.
Parma
The Emilian team in the mid-90s had the best moment in its history, winning two UEFA Cups and a Cup Winners' Cup. In the Champions League, however, the Ducali never got beyond the group stage in the 1997/98 season.
Seville
The Andalusian club was the most successful team in the aforementioned cup between 2006 and 2016, and as a result, they were able to win five UEFA Cups and/or Europa Leagues. However, Sevilla has never been able to replicate themselves in the Champions League.
