The Craziest Injuries in Football

Last on the list is Cristiano Ronaldo's sprained wrist (which occurred while driving the Lamborghini). Banega was struck by his parked automobile, Bent cut his hand while preparing dinner, and James stretched to find the TV remote...

1. Cristiano Ronaldo

The story of Cristiano Ronaldo's "dislocated" wrist in a Lamborghini is only the latest in a long line of bizarre incidents involving sportsmen. Stories that imply that the true hazards they face are not on the playing field.

2. De Laurentiis

In the summer of 2013, he arrived in Napoli, clean-shaved. He decides to take a boat excursion to Capri on a day off to learn more about the island's beauty. Unfortunately, when he dived into the sea, he failed to notice the rocks, which resulted in a beautiful chin wound.

De Laurentiis vowed to sue the Campania Region for compensation, and Pipita has grown a beard to hide the scar since that day.

3. Emerson Ferreira da Rosa

Emerson was supposed to be the original captain of Brazil's 2002 World Cup team, but he dislocated his shoulder in training before the tournament's first match, while attempting to parry a shot from a teammate.

4. Ever Banega

His car slammed into him.   It may appear to be a joke, yet it's entirely true. The scene is reconstructed as follows: Ever Banega, who was in Valencia at the time, got out of his car to get gas. He forgot to use the handbrake and had a fractured ankle as a result.

5. Santiago Canizares

Another half-beard: Santiago Canizares, a former Valencia, and Real Madrid goalkeeper had just finished it when a bottle of aftershave fell on the ground, shattered into a thousand pieces, and tore his big toe tendon. Enough to make him, like Emerson, miss the 2002 World Cup.

6. David James

The injury to David James, the English goalie, who injured his back just by reaching out to grab the TV remote control, was even more absurd.

7. Nelson Dida

What can be said about ex-AC Milan player Nelson Dida, who injured his back during a match against Parma in February 2008, from the armchair to the bench?

He was relaxing among the reserves when Ancelotti summoned him to replace Kalac, who had been wounded while getting up from the bench and was being carried away on a stretcher.

8. Darren Bent

Darren Bent was preparing a delicious meal. After a brief pause, the knife slashes the tendon of one hand instead of slicing the onion.

9. Richard Wright

How many times has an injury occurred during a warm-up? Richard Wright, Everton's goalkeeper, injured his ankle before an FA Cup match against Chelsea after he deflected a shot over the crossbar and then fell onto a sign placed inside the door behind him. It was written on the sign to use the temporary doors for heating.
